Last week on January 12th, CrossFit Wellington hosted a Cigo Hero WOD in honor of K-9 Cigo who was shot in the line of duty on Christmas Eve outside of the Wellington Green Mall. He was the first dog in the history of PBSO to be killed in action.
All proceeds from the fundraiser benefitted the Camo Foundation, an organization that rescues shelter dogs and trains them for military veterans and law enforcement work. There was free food for everyone from Ideal Nutrition. Iron Rescue and Apparel was there along with Maxhealth Chiropractic. Green Gorilla Printhouse designed the shirts.
The CrossFit athletes who attended had a fantastic time with the workout. There were 2 teams, 7 rounds, 11 C2B, 1 Squat Clean – Each (255/185 – or 80% of your max), 15 Box Jumps, and a 400m Run together after every round. Between Eventbrite ticket donations and shirt sales (165!), we raised $4,800 for the cause. Way to go Wellington!
